I feel like this may be reaching, but I would like to give a jab at the imagery that inspired your Oedon...
The lower torso is insectoid to signify the vermin that drink his corruption, and he is borne upon wings and holds a staff, which shows his association with the Greek god Mercury, as his corruption is the mercury in the blood?
This lines up with a lot of the Oedon lore theories anyway! Either way, great work!
