After a few days of working on Hydra reference sheet, it is finally complete this took way longer than I thought kept being side track on what I should really be doing and overall I am heavily satisfied for Hydra entire reference sheet and amazed how much I really change up his character from being the usual sonic looking recolor to having a completely new hair style because I wanted to make my characters feel different from one another and here it is Hydra entire reference sheet plus a story behind it all up next will be more Splatoon artwork and a few more ideas I need to brainstorm on.

Powers: Can manipulate the element of water even freezing it into ice, can handle the coldest temperature of water and turn into Leviathan at will as well as echolocation.

Bio: Hydra is Kaito JR only son and Hydra is a hedgehog who enjoys anything related to the ocean from swimming to scuba diving to even surfing. At a young age, Hydra father Kaito JR was killed by the villainous Grimshaw as he sacrificed himself for the safety of his friends and hearing those news really broke Hydra heart and to add more salt of the open wound his mother Heidi ended up leaving him without even saying goodbye leaving just his grandfather Kaito SR to watch over him. Due to Hydra being always alone with nobody to talk too and being remotely shy and introverted as well Hydra never made any actual friends until before he did make friends overtime and his grandfather ended up adopting a chinchilla name Aqua, at first Hydra was unsure how he felt having a younger brother until he and Aqua slowly got to know each other and spend some quality time and Hydra felt less lonely. At age 7-8, Hydra was walking on his own until he remember a girl crying for help as he enters the scene a couple of bullies were harassing and tormenting a cat name Mira despite feeling nervous at first he tries to tell the bullies to leave Mira alone. But the bullies told Hydra to “stay out of this. Even punching him in the face as a way of being warned” Those words only angered him and in reaction he end up using his water magic and remembering grabbing Mira hand and running despite what happen Mira felt thankful even tending to Hydra wounds at first he was grateful but he was unsure if he ready to make friends so he left the scene but kept whatever Mira wrapped on him. As time goes on Hydra remembered getting a invitation where there a party being hosted at Heat place he was unsure until his grandfather told him it a good way to meet new faces and make friends. In the end Hydra grandfather was right and Hydra started to slowly open up to others and even becoming a part of Team Heat. When, Hydra isn’t on missions he can be seen interacting with sea creatures and even just enjoying some ice tea and while Hydra isn’t all crazy over video games he willing to play some with friends even including his younger brother Aqua to join in for the fun Hydra even end up with Mira when their conversation seem awkward until both mobians put the pieces together realizing they know one another since they were young children. Hydra has the power to turn into a leviathan at will and use the element of water through his own magic as well as freezing the water into ice and Hydra is able to swim in water whether it extremely hot or cold.

Fact of the day: When I first made Hydra he was originally a character with the exact hairstyle as Rex and Dark Heat also Heat but I changed it up a bit since I was really fascinated with looking at anime hair for reference.
