I completely agree about Raditz, we know nothing about the Saiyan saga if it weren't for him, he's related to Goku/Kakarot, we get to see and know more about Bardock-Goku/Kakarot's father. He can change and you should blame Frieza because he's the main reason why Raditz worked on the evil side? Thanks to Budokai Tenkaichi 2 it shows us how Raditz changed and counting Xenoverse 1 and 2 even its a Time Patrol thing.

I created this picture to show you the difference between Forgotten and Important. I go with Important because it shows we can have more Saiyans to fight together, it worked for Broly-The DB Super version.
