Description
Found this photo today, and thought it would make a good ID.That's the same caiman in a jar some of you have seen before, just backlit.
*edit* Duuuuh... Just saw this on my computer at work... It looked fine on my computer at home, but it gets cut off at 1024x768 screen res, which is what most people use. Resized, cause I'm a mo-ron. :smacks forehead:

Indeed, a Caiman, in a jar full of preservative.
He resides in the Zoology laboratory of the College I went to. He's in good company, too--he shares the shelves with a fetal pig, a dog head, snakes, lizards, an axolotl, and a myriad of other jar-dwellers.
I'm so glad you find him haunting and beautiful. Thank you!

Caimans are crocodilians, if I remember correctly. Here is another shot of this caiman, from a different angle: [link]
And here's a photo I found on google--this is what they look like without all the dramatic, fancy lighting. [link]
Axolotls are some very strange amphibians... Another photo I found on google: [link]

I like this ID more because it conveys so much *Evil*. I'm having a really hard time looking at your red name via most monitors though. The black overwhelms it.

Hooray! *Evil* is goooooood.
Yeah, most monitors probably eat the name because it's not a very bright red. Mine's calibrated, and I forget that most aren't, and miss the subtleties of things like this. Oh well.

yeah -- I had the sonogram vibe as well -- thinking, is it a boy or a girl... hehehe

Hehe...
It's cool that so many people picked up on the sonogram thing. That's what I think it looks like too. Nifty!
Thanks for the comment!

Thanks!
The contrast is pretty extreme, which is what I think makes it look strange, and ultrasound-ish.

I'm getting a strong Sonagram vibe from this ID. Very enigmatic shot, difficult to interpret. Excellent. No pidgeon holing on this one. Sweet.
