Painted version of this sculpt: [link]Commission.
15" l x 9.5" h x 5" w
Super sculpey firm over a wire and foil armature. This piece is a maquette that will be used as reference for a large carousel-style woodcarving of the dog. It will probably end up being larger than life-size.

Tim's work is amazing, and I can't even begin to express how honored and grateful I am that he asked me to sculpt something for him.
This was a challenge to sculpt, and a challenge to paint as well, and I am very, very happy with the outcome. Tim is happy with it as well, which is what matters most!
A huge thank you to for helping me with the lighting in the shots on the bottom. It was a challenge to get good photos of this piece, and I couldn't have done it without him!

I love that it's a Pit Bull, my favorite breed. An amazing sculpt, sensitively done. Shows the breed's gorgeous musculature beautifully. Magnificent.

Finals! Then I'll have time to relax. We did not realize that jewelry had a separate sale so my mom went to the 'regular' holiday sale and was very sad she missed seeing all your guys' work.

Yeah, Gloria decided that it would be better if the Jewelry folks split off from the rest of the art sale, just in the interest of space. We were up in the Student Center in one of the lounges, and I guess that's going to be the way it will be done from now on.
We'll be up there for the spring sale too, and I'll be sure to let you know about it beforehand so you can pass the info on to your mom.
