In a city of nothing but concrete jungles (aside from Central Park), there's just so many things to capture making them all look touristy... you're a definite exception, as this shot proves. The shadow play here worked fantastically well to your advantage as you framed the mother and child with the shadows..

Well, this is great, my dear Meredith! The "tunnel effect" is wonderful. The shadows on the ground give a strange and disturbing atmosphere to the scene.

And look at the way the boy walks. So determined and courageous!
