It's gorgeous! The trees remind me of the dead trees at the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, where they looked so melancholy yet lovely, but in here they look majestic and beautiful!

Nice shot, though is the darkening of the trees due to a GND?

Thanks Chris, you got a good eye. It was indeed taken with a GND. I need to learn to blend

I like the colors in this. They are spectacular without being oversaturated, probably because of their combination. Also, the composition is very good.

May i ask a question? I know the question can be borderline retarded, but oh well, if i don't ask, i will never get the answer i need...
how do you make the image so sharp, it almost looks like 3D, as if i am right there in the photo

Hi, I just use a tripod with remote shutter release and live view to focus precisely.
Also, I try to use the best lens possible

I fell in love with this shot once I saw it. The beautiful skies, the amazing mountains and forest in the backdrop, the cliff overlooking the lovely lake in the valley was just overwhelmingly wonderful, and the two trees looked a lot like two people conversing with each other. Excellent shot~

Wow, absolutely amazing work, Renant! I love the composition and colors... and no visible noise either - the 5D Mk III seems to be as good as it was announced, hm?
