What if Bruce Wayne adopted the the mantel of the owl instead of the bat to protect Gotham city.

Owlman is an evil variant of batman who also happens to be in a different animal theme. There has be good Owlmen along with evil batmen in the multiverse.

Being Owlman would have quite a bigger impact then just Bruce doing the same stuff in a different costume.

Here is a possible alternate reality if Bruce Wayne saw the owl in the abyss instead of the bat.

In the tv series Gotham it is revealed that the Wayne family has a long history of doing evil and corrupt things along with Thomas and Martha being associates with the evil organization the court of owls.

This could lead to a lot of drama like Bruce finding out of his parents ties with the court of owls that could lead to inner conflict with in him self being lead to believe that see the owl in the abyss and choosing to become Owlman was just fate and he was destined to work with one of the greatest evils in Gotham.

But Bruce decides to reject it and that he is the master of his own destiny as Owlman savior and protector of Gotham
