Description
Pen and ink drawing of a street in Seattle. Drawn with various colors of Microns. On 7th Avenue near Olive, looking South if anyone wants to see the Street View. Based on a photo I took back in December. The street was actually pretty empty in the source photo, I added most of the people in the foreground. Also I exaggerated the light & dark contrast to give it better depth. The photo was taken on a cloudy day, tends to make the colors flat and washed out.Related content

Thanks... It was time-consuming! Not sure microns are the best tools for large drawings, but they provide some great results.

I'm actually not TOO patient. But once I'd already committed many hours to this, I felt like I'd be cheating myself to not keep going. As long as I can sorta picture what the final piece might be, and I see that I'm making progress, that usually motivates me to stick with something.

Well, I can't even draw a building or a due to lack of patience, so what you have done here is amazing to me.
But I hear what you are saying about reaching that point where you have to press ahead... kind of like if you don't, you'll be doing a disservice to all that time you already invested.

Thanks! This probably took me two weeks or more, whenever I wasn't busy with school or work I'd try to work on it. Fine tip ink drawing is SLOW. Unfortunately I didn't make it all up, it's based on many different photos I took. the shape of the street and the buildings are from one photo, and the people are from many different photos. It was fun to place people where I wanted. I also changed a lot of colors and signs.
