Description Here is my Texture Tutorial, hope it will help you ^^ if you have any doubts or questions, don't be shy i'll try to help you as much as i can

Oh gods i completely forgot to mention that i use Photoshop SC5 to edit my drawings, i draw in PaintToolSAI but this stuff i do in PS

I know this tutorial is kind of old, but I wanted to thank you for it The transformation in overlaying the textures really seems to add an edge and I hope I can use this to make my pictures look so good, with practice.

okay, i am a complete and utter noob at these things. So, how does one "Add" a texture. I know how to use layers but I don't see anything where you "add" a texture.

you open a file with a texture, using Marquee Tool select the area that you need, push CTRL + C, then open a file with your drawing or whatever and push CTRL+V

how do you get to the channel option?
because i dont see it anywhere...(i have cs5.5 the newest version)

hm you need the "layers" option, not channels (:
