Just a short and simple concept/comic thing I wanted to draw for my 2nd snow girl - who I’m thinking of naming Mayu (her human name that she decides to keep). This was a result of and I bouncing around ideas. Thanks again for helping me out
Anyway, I decided Frostnip never had a past life as a human and instead focusing on giving Mayu a human background.
Frostnip happened upon the body of a teenage girl (Mayu), frozen to death as one of many victims of yet another vicious winter. She decided that she didn’t want to spend the next winter by herself and figured another Yuki-Musume would be just what she needed.
Of course for Mayu, the initial shock was quite devastating for the former human since Frostnip brought her back as a ghost with large and hideous frost claws- something Frostnip was hoping she’d use to kill humans to go along with her own frost breath. Mayu was even more devastated when she found out that she retained her frostbite scars on her face later on.
Perhaps only after spending several more winters with Frostnip does Mayu eventually accept the fate she’s been given.

Also if I can chime in, those several winters during which Mayu will be adjusting to being a spirit are going to be the perfect time for interaction with people freezing to death. She might try to help. And they'd be terrified, of course.

I've yet to sit down and really invest time in writing a solid story and doing research, so I don't think I'll be making this into an actual webcomic. At least not in the immediate future. Like I told someone else, probably just gonna stick with concepts and illustrations for now.

Gotta admit that last panel screems cuteness! But at the same time I feel so sorry for Mayu ;-; Frostnip coulda at least removed her scars for, poor girl.
