...which slightly ironic since I don't have one yet. But I feel that being a person that doesn't have style would bring an interesting view on how I think you find it. Like always this is a guide, not a rulebook, if you disagree I like to hear opinions but I'm not out to argue. ^_^__________________________________________________________________
Update: I just to remind you that this is not a tutorial to style. It's a guide to style development, there's nothing wrong with focusing on developing your style as long as it improves your art. Sure, you can develop your own style over time just by drawing and drawing and nothing else, but this is specifically for people who just would like to focus currently on style, in this guide I also encourage you to draw and draw because you are pulling out your natural style and if anything else it's fun! Most of us are hobby artists anyway, so lets have fun lol.

If you don't think anime can be distinctive then you haven't watched enough of it to notice the subtle differences between each artists. "and you're not Japanese... why are you drawing like this" This is racist on multiple levels. You're implying that westerners, or anyone except Japanese people, cannot draw anime. Additionally you are implying that if you are Japanese you must like/be able to draw anime. An art cannot be copyrighted to a race.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful. This is actually what we are being taught in Multimedia Art School, but the way you say it makes it more clear to me.

I like this. I change my style every time I meet something that really appeals to me and it's hard to stop. But I guess at least I'm trying things out.
Thanks for making this

Thank you for this <3
I've drawn in many styles but the answer is always "no" to the question "Is your style unique?".
I really want to find my own style. The "draw from life" hint is very helpful, I'll do that.

That said you can't really force yourself into a style. You can't just draw people with pikachu fingers in one picture and then say to yourself "that looks good, from now on I must draw pikachu fingers on all my people!" Style is something that comes naturally, over time. You're not just going to read this tutorial and have a style by tomorrow morning.
I know this seems obvious to a lot of you, but I'm considering the younger artists reading this page.

no you can't. there's nothing wrong with drawing pikachu
fingers on your people if you like it that way. no one said
you must do anything. Obviously this isn't an instantaneous
effect, I felt that was pretty common knowledge no matter
what your age is. Plus, as said in the guide, there are processes
I thought would be good to go through none of which only
take a couple minutes.
