That's not surprising.  INFPs do tend to be drawn most to the types that share none of our cognitive functions.  I myself am most drawn to the ISTP and ENFJ.  Of course, everyone loves an ENFJ.  That's why the evil ones become such effective dictators.  They can slaughter millions and eat babies, and people will still adore and follow them blindly.  I call the evil ENFJ the Beloved Despot.

To differentiate between the two, you need to research cognitive functions.  Most tests only assign you four letters.  They don't look at the functions.  The INFJ and INFP share no functions.  If you have a developed gut instinct, focus on a specific goal or future, are naturally empathetic, and prefer emotional stability so that you can carry the emotional burdens of others, you are an INFJ.  If you have a very strong sense of identity and morality, are able to log emotional experiences and recall them at will, are full of ideas to the point where you're self-distracting, and like to keep your options open, you are an INFP.

Do you get more energy from solitude or from socialization?  Do you typically approach a situation first asking whether it feels morally right, or first asking what all your options are?  Because Ne is the most ambiverted of the extroverted functions, an INFP or INTP is liable to be a strong introvert, while an ENFP or ENTP may appear to be quite ambiverted.  So really consider just how much energy you require from other people vs. how much energy you require from adequate alone time.

Yes, Twilight's a Perceiver.  Her dominant function is introverted Thinking.  I explain the difference between her and an INTJ (such as Moondancer) in this Tumblr post.

-Dwells in the past and is very traditional
-Is ambitious and takes to leadership naturally
-May get caught up in identity as a traditionalist, making them stubborn
-Has trouble allowing for all possible outcomes

An INTP...
-Dwells in their mind and is extremely analytical
-Is imaginative and likes to collect a lot of information
-May get stuck in their internal world because it's familiar
-Has trouble relating to others around them

Sorry, but Twilight is definitely an INTP.

Exactly.  I think Spike's type here is accurate.  He is a Ti dom like Twilight, but unlike her prefers to take each day as it comes.

I'm an INTP and I do that. It doesn't have to be "I can't be bothered with that because I live in the moment", but it could be "I can't be bothered with that because it's simply not worth my time to worry about".
