Lawful Good: Twilight's academic personality shows she does follow rules and certain moral codes, though she had trouble making friends at first. She can be a good character even if she has a few hiccups every now and again. (Applejack I believe also belongs in Lawful Good, considering she's a kind yet dutiful farmer.)

Neutral Good: The sweet Fluttershy always aspires to be a nice pony, she wants to do good for all even if she has to compromise some things. Though docile Fluttershy does at least try to make an effort for others, but her true caring nature opens up around animals.

Chaotic Good: I know it's a little/painfully obvious choice but I can't say "no" to Pinkie Pie being here. Pinkie is absolutely obsessed with meeting and making new friends, rather it's through partying or randomly doing nice things regardless of their opinion which incidentally has got her into trouble before...but she means well in the end.

Lawful Neutral: Ah the luxurious, Rarity is a pony with a conquest for fashion. Indeed she does hold her head high, making advances towards her career is a must for her. However her pride and sharp morals has piled on the work for her which led to extreme stress and making dodgy choices. In the end though, Rarity knows when enough is enough and sometimes it's best to leave things be instead of tampering.

True Neutral: Pretty self-explanatory, but Maud definitely fits here in my opinion. Some call her boring, bland and uninteresting, but I find Maud very amusing mostly because of her many hidden skills, besides being a rock specialist. Maud is the great enigma every good TV series needs, it's these mysterious characters that truly makes a story more "flavourful".

Chaotic Neutral: Rainbow Dash is a Tomboy incarnate, in my opinion her rash, arrogant and mischievous personality fits this alignment well. Oh but she isn't above pulling pranks of course, and lets not forget her dreams of being a Wonderbolt. Though she rarely slows down, Rainbow Dash can settle down to a good book, but even then her overly enthusiastic nature quickly makes her a fan of reading.

Lawful Evil: Nightmare Moon and King Sombra surprisingly have a lot in common. Both were very patient villains, who desired to rule a kingdom they could never have entirely. Both have links to the Dark Arts and were official monarchs for quite along time, though they had little screen-time, they made their mark in the universe which won't be forgotten anytime soon.

Neutral Evil: Sultry as she is, every-pony despises Queen Chrysalis. She is perhaps the only villain to successfully kick Princess Celestia off the throne...for the longest time at least. She is a self-proclaimed and very vindictive queen indeed, abusing the gift of true love to gain extra power is definitely pure villain material. She probably reminds you of an evil ex-boy/girlfriend, feeding off your feelings like some love-sick parasite.

Chaotic Evil: Before his change of heart, Discord was definitely a mean troll of a villain. I mean seriously he can mess with reality, making the logical into illogical. He's a real nut-job when given the chance, somehow not truly unforgiveable like owning a bad-tempered Chihuahua. Discord has a soul...a very uhhhhhhhhhhh...messed up one but he's a fun guy I swear.
