I updated this 08-04-13. I added the final shot buildings on the right side and some lighting updates.((((((DOWNLOAD LARGER VERSION))))))
This is the sixth concept matte for the Film "A City to Make Me" Jan 2012.

amazing! how did you make this??? i understand its a matte painting, but how? lol. did you grab stills of existing buildings and just shop/design them into the portrait? just awesome.

thanks, most are 3d renders mixed some with photos. Most of matte paintings you see have some elimates of real photos.

At first I was like "What city is this? It looks familiar, but I can't pinpoint it.. AWESOME COLORS AND LIGHTS THOUGH"
