Description
This could be a metaphor, but in this case, it's not about Bruce Jenner. More likely, it hasto do with the normal thoughts of dying, as we age, succumb to illness, etc etc. But on the brighter side,
this very realistic watercolor shows Purgatory Creek as it flows into my Walden Pond, Staring Lake,
in Eden Prairie. If she falls, she'll go headlong into Purgatory. Ha,ha....But, I know she's gonna make it.
RCG
Watercolor, watercolor crayons, with minimal Prismacolor Pencil, on 140' Cold Pressed paper ~ 16x24"

You're welcome, my friend.Β The chicks are now looking like real chickens
and eating like crazy.Β I've covered their coop with a 12X12 foot canopy
to give them more shade on these hot days.

it is just as great as your other magnificent works, from the ideas to presentation.Β
but just IMHO, if the area (the reflection) beneath her was less dense, it would intensify the fear of falling, the fear of height even more :]

Let's hope it is. I am constantly praying 'The Serenity Prayer'
for our bedraggled country. If you don't know that prayer, I'll tell
you all about it. It's the only one I know. I know I'm leaning toward
Bernie Sanders for Our Next Prez. I know, he's a Socialist, but so am I.
But I'd like to see a woman prez too...women don't go to war the way
men like to do. Wow, who put a nickel in me?
THANKS for EVERYTHING Anne...esp a FAVE!

you have nailed it again !Β Β
The dry branches and trees and its reflection in the water creates such a jumbled chaos, and with her striving for balance the jumbled chaos is like a cob web of emotions that a person has to survive and strive through in order to "cross over"Β

I am still lmao over the Jenner metaphor statement. This seems a departure from recent works and I like it. Β I see what you are saying and I am living it. Β Daily walking the tightrope over purgatory towards the end of life with all of our regrets of a lifetime on our shoulders. Β This is a wonderful watercolor Richard and I like it a great deal my friend. Β Well done.

Thanks Ron. I'm a huge fan of Andrew Wyeth. He painted where he lived,
Β and what he lived, even his neighbors, one woman naked. How many of us
do that these days??Β I like that idea. I've got a lot of Eden Prairie scenes in
my gallery. I'll find one and send it.... take care, my friend! Β Β Richard

mind is going now...what next? Ha ha....and THANKS for the FAVE. I appreciate
your wonderful attentions. This kind of realism is hard for me....here's how our dining

Thanks again Sandy. Well, I'm glad the kitchen is another option. The dining room is more for detailed and fussy work.
When I'm in the kitchen, I must stand, and get rougher with much larger amounts of watercolor! Take care....
