Description Just a playful and yes: Photoshop treatment of my recent painting A Night At The Oscars.
As one favorite deviant has nicely pointed out to me: "Hey, this one is NOT perfectly symmetrical." And I'm
glad he noticed. I'm rather feeling, even further, that the light source, almost always to the left for me, COULD
be seen as that narrow Gothic Window. The phantom himself is (to me) that narrow-faced Italian/Greek
fellow, in the middle. What might Sir Andrew Weber say, IF he ever were to see it?

A jpeg of the painting was run thru Snapseed which has hundreds of
variable color skews ( I almost always use a setting called GRUNGE....then into PhtoShp...
ย  ย  ย  then I get into it with the Dodge/Burn tools,
and Saturation tool. THANKS so much Lawrence!!!

Totem head bearing down on a crucified Salvador Dali, bone trumpets, a bannered helmet and a thin sliver of light entering through a tear in the fabric of illusion.

The longer one looks at your images the more things appear. They are quite mesmerising.

I'm going to regard THAT as an ok thing. Sometimes I consider my digital pieces as complex clouds. One looks for THINGS, sometimes. Just don't go batty. Ok?

The viewers can go as batty as they like and so can the artist. The artwork has a life of its own once it leaves your hands. This is quite an issue in art criticism. Some like to pin the work to the creator and his milieu and others give it a space and life of its own, able to speak to viewers across cultures and generations and time.

I think you should be happy that some of your work has this deep factor. Possibly because of its abstraction.ย  Makes people use their minds to relate to it instead of having it all neatly packaged for them to swallow without question.

Well, as an agnostic, I just don't know about those things. IF there is, I
surely hope I will be inducted into The American Watercolor Society AND I will have
found a fail-safe way of keeping squirrels off my platform bird feeder. Then, I can be
happy!!! Maybe.
