well, after it's a free composition in Photoshop, automatically puts that piece of artwork into photo-manipulation category. No matter you have shot the model, when you make a collage, it can't be called photography anymore... The photography is about to freeze a moment in real life, which will never be repeated anymore.
no bad feelings, just saying my opinion
the combination of latex and fur is not bad at all

I don't really mind how you categorise it, to be honest This particular shot certainly does involve photo-manipulation, though I'm more interested in the result than how it was achieved.
I do feel that definitions evolve and the one you've given of photography is one of many valid definitions... but I've had the "is photoshop art" conversation enough times not to be too bothered about it any more
Thanks for your comments though!
Richard

Love this! I don't think I've seen much of anyone using latex and fur together, and it's a fantastic combo!

Thank you quietchildae I agree, it's a great combination. Emma and I are actually exploring more combinations of latex with other materials; it sort of fits with the "cross-over" approach that we seem to be drawn to in an artistic sense.

What did you use for a backdrop for the model shot? I assume you did composition in Photoshop or something similar.

Hi there - yep it's a composite in Photoshop, using a purchased image as the background.
