whoops see what happens when parts 10-16 are missing?

(In the voice of Rod Serling)...A thousand portable, personal pies

love it

I was looking through some long-neglected scraps - and there was that great splotch!

. . . I love the splotch on the right, as if the beginnings of a portable pie had just been squirted out...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to hummbuzz [2012-08-07 18:46:16 +0000 UTC]

that sounds like something from an old Bugs Bunny cartoon - a portable pie factory with machines squirting out the start of each one onto an assembly line

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hummbuzz In reply to RichardLeach [2012-08-07 18:54:09 +0000 UTC]

Exactly!...I could just see it!...splurt...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to hummbuzz [2012-08-07 19:22:26 +0000 UTC]

Daffy Duck gets into an argument with Bugs and falls into the machine and gets splurted out and is borne away on the assembly line and put into a box, his big eyes looking up from the top of the pie... then he pops back into shape and walks away with a disgusted look on his face

Oh gosh... Saturday mornings in the early 1960s were the best thing ever. In black and white even!

Thank you so much! Made very quickly with scraps that had been hanging around for a long time on top of my desk - not next to each other - but somehow they suddenly connected.

RichardLeach In reply to thesadstork [2012-08-05 02:24:07 +0000 UTC]

plenty of coffee but we don't do beans on toast here - wait, no, that's not true, when i was a boy we ate baked bean sandwiches sometimes - i hadn't thought of that in decades!

Hey, have you ever had apple pie with cheddar cheese? Old New England thing. Wonderful.

LancelotPrice In reply to RichardLeach [2012-08-04 18:15:35 +0000 UTC]

Nope. I think I'd still prefer my pie dairy to be in ice cream form. An old Kentucky thing. Wonderful.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RichardLeach In reply to partiallyHere [2012-08-04 12:13:15 +0000 UTC]

i've never seen that plz before

pies are even better than toast with jelly

and speaking of not throwing anything away, the piece of brown paper is from an envelope you sent me

i considered removing the first two digits of "137" to leave your "initial" but the paper is fragile, might have lost the whole number.
