Very nice organization here. Seriously looks like all these pieces belonged together for a long time. They just didn't knew

IF you had a picture of me you could put it on the wall behind your desk. Well, but you are welcome to put the comment there
Thanks, btw.

You challenge yourself for sure, to rebuild meaning when it has been torn apart, but you succeed all the time.

I can't decide if the guy is sad and slumpy or reading. I will probably go with reading, although there is some evidence that all is not well in this guy's world.

Good comment, thanks. The guy is in some kind of in-between state at best, I would say.

great new approach to triptychs. and masterful use of the negative space.
love it!

thank you very much, dear!
i had parts of it in mind when i began, but was not satisfied when the pieces were glued down, so i kept going until it seemed right.

a companion piece became cluttered and failed - but working spontaneously felt good in both cases. of course, how it feels to make a piece, and its quality in the end, are two separate matters!

not sure I understand the left side, but the centre and right are great.

thanks, and understanding is not required. seriously. most of the sense I find in my work is stuff I read out of it after it's done rather than stuff I put in as I make it. fwiw, I see voids and openings and connections on the left, and it's signifying on the right to some degree - the green at the top is rotated and also brought down to create a diagonal composition of the whole - and the word "brown" is on the left though the only brownness is on the right, again tying the two sides together - but that's just how I see it, I could be mistaken

hmm, I'm afraid i'll never think of it like that.
is that how you always look at a collage/image?

always looking at them in terms of formal issues, yeah. of course other things arise, little stories and things that come from the texts.
but making them is intuitive, there's a certain "look" i go after, i can't quite say what it it but i usually know when i've reached it.

Thanks, that's the way it felt to me too - I finished it, then began to see what was there

Wouldn't it be nice to have a complete guide to a person's contents.

I'm not sure I want a complete guide even to my own contents... Though I suppose a guide would be okay, I wouldn't have to read every chapter.
