love it.
i find that your horizontal collages have a style of their own, somehow different from the others. do you think?

yes i agree! the horizontal ones seem to be more about flow than the vertical ones. this piece feels to me almost like a sentence with each scrap a word.

oh, that may be the reason i "started" it on the black side!

it reads either way! i think of it starting with the orange because that was order i glued the scraps down in.
interesting... when working vertical i might begin anywhere but with horizontal i think i always begin on the left.

i always begin with the right, which is weird. from day one i learned to write both ways.
with vertical, you told me to start from up (remember? ) so now i learned the lesson

yes, i assume i go left to right because i only read and write that way - since you write both ways, you just prefer left to right i suppose...
oh! well if i said that was certainly good advice
i probably begin at up more often than not... just thinking things over here... with vertical pieces i rotate them sideways and upside down to check the balance of the composition and sometimes leave them that way! but i don't do that with horizontal either, they just are what they are.

ah, i don't rotate images (that's a good idea) but what i often do, after i worked on the details, is looking at my image in a very small size, to check the composition.
it works
this said, i almost always rotate my underwaters, but just because i have to

oh yeah, that makes sense.
right. the underwater ones are kind of fluid anyway - so to speak

and it would have been weird if i posted every image of myself with my face to the floor.

This may seems weird, but I think some colors suit better an artist's style than others, I this case orange usually suits your style well.

I think that is true about artists and colors, and orange with my style - thanks. I find orange a funny but attractive color.

You're welcome. Maybe I should research more about the subject.

This is an exercise in visual composition - arranging the shapes and colors to create rhythm and balance.
