Man - you know that poem? I only knew a couple of lines from it before I came across it in this old book that I have *cough*cough* treated disrespectfully. It IS a beautiful poem. And I bought another copy of the old book that I am NOT cutting or tearing up.

thanks for that observation - i'm always thinking one piece at a time and it surprises me sometimes to look at my own gallery.
oh there is no sadistic side, no, i wouldn't do that. it's a very old poem talking about a firefly turning its light on.

so it turned out to be much more poetic. that says a lot about my state of mind

aw, no harm done. when i first read it i didn't even know what it meant myself. it should say, "the fly lit" but the writer changed the word order to make it scan - making it sound like somebody set a fly on fire.
