i'm listening to thisΒ youtu.be/itwL5y0He-k (start at 2:12) and it seemed to go well with the photo.

hi Ruthie! i'm working on two or three pieces but am not satisfied with any of them yet

great that you made a collage - i don't know how it is for you but if i go too long without making one i start to get an anxious feeling. at least today i am working!

hi richard i finished that collage and made a watercolor that i'm going to post in my other account. i usually do paintings with watercolors and ink.Β

i spend most of my day making things, i know what you mean about having to create to feel at least semi sane. i try to carry at least a molskine and some pens everywhere i go.Β

did you finish anything today? or make progress? just working on something a little is a good feeling.

great - ah - i wasn't watching your other account, just added it now

i made progress - i'm actually working on four pieces, forgot about one - and one might be done. with my stuff sometimes i know exactly when it's done and sometimes i don't. but yes, just getting some scraps glued down felt good.

Excellent. It's been our monsoon season here. A little three day respite and most likely more rain this afternoon or tomorrow.

I grew up on a big (in area) old farm in a tiny town outside a small city. It was great in a lot of ways, and I have vivid memories of wandering in the woods. The energy of big cities was such a blast when I finally was in one - the first was Boston, which I never lived in but visited a lot. Of course Boston is small compared to NYC or Chicago. But I like that city energy. The privacy and quiet here (outside the small town we live near now) is nice but I don't really need this much (external) privacy and quiet, I can be alone in a city too.

There are many "flash flood warnings" from the National Weather Service here! But we live on a little elevation protecting us from the rivers and streams, and we have a massive underground channel defending our basement from ground water

A different one but not far away, and flowing to the same place, a little lake near us. I wonder why they always go in curves like that!

There have been years that we called Pennsylvania "the Land of Endless Rain."

I hope you dry out in August.
