Reminds me of the ending of The Fountain with Hugh Jackman. Not much of a story line there but some amazing imagery.

This is very powerful. Great curves and striking realism.

This painting is really good, very dramatic. I like small details like flowers on the body. Your use of color is splendid!

Probably the most remarkable thing I've ever seen on DevArt. Mesmerising.
I wish you provided a larger resolution, so we can admire it in its full glory.

He looks as if he is sinking into the peat for a thousand-year time out, and not particularly hopeful about what he'll find on the other side.

Wonderful work, as one of the commentators remarked above, worthy of Moreau.

Mmmm...I don't know if you've ever seen the movie, 'Silent Hill'. In one scene, the mother is in school bathroom and there is this mangled man twisted all over with barb wire, slowly crawling toward her. That's what this reminds me of. Still, it is incredible.

This somehow reminds us of this story we once heard of some religious guy who'd threw himself into thorned bushes every time he had an impure thought.

Such sadness in this piece, and yet it feels so ... macabre? no not that. Striking. Yes. But the symbolism of the forget-me-nots is not lost on me.

Wow... just wow.

this is the picture of utter torment. most return to dust when they are already gone, but this man appears to be returning while he is still alive. the emotion captured me. you paint stunningly. oils are my favorite to work with, you use them with great skill--precision and texture. keep doing what you're doing. it's powerful.
