Yay I'm back... this is my entry for the Neil Gaiman "A Calendar of Tales" contest: [link]Read or listen to the August tale and you'll know what this scene is about
I love that story about the firebirds!! Neil created the story with no particular
character description so I created him the way I thought he might look like.
I know that some artists out there question that contest,
but it's my free will and I love Neil Gaiman's stories. So I took part
and drew what I love and practised at the same time
Used some pencil sketches, rest is all done in photoshop.

Love your stylisation, line weights and ambient colours/shading - I love pieces that look like a screenshot. Everything ties in and I enjoy the depth of field with the blurred feathers. Good luck in the contest!

Yeah screenshot-like artworks are wonderful, I even thought about making a gif out of it: falling feathers, glowing eyes, spreading wings
