Description
Lydia Hodgson, born in 1900, was the younger sister of the controller of the Obbeeys Railway that was in charge from 1919 till 1965. She apprenticed at Bea Works under William Sharp beginning in 1921, and one of the locomotive classes she is most well known for is the 'Hodgson' 2-10-0 bankers working on the Canyon branchline. She married Alan Dixon in 1935, and had two boys. She passed away peacefully in her sleep in 1980.
