Pinkie was dating Cheese Sandwich when Swissy was first born, the experience was traumatizing to say the least. Pinkie was depressed and emotionally distant from Swiss for the first few weeks, refusing to hold her and sometimes even look at her, leaving Cheese to care for the foal

He didn't blame her, he understood how hard it was and despite knowing Swissy wasn't his foal he decided to love her like his nonetheless

Eventually Pinkie did get her glow back and warmed up quickly to her filly, although throughout Swissy's childhood Pinkie would be hesitant at times and even now sometimes looks at Swiss strangely
