Eww, the way you had its face dripping out that hole looks kinda gross.
Though in Metroid Other M, its face is solid and not all drippy-looking. Apparently when Nightmare got infected by the X, the infection deformed it in that manner, which would explain that well.

I was honestly surprised that, with all the bashing of other:m on /v/, I never heard anyone mention him being in it. It was a great surprise and made me happy.
unfortunately, Other:M just made me angry overall for a lot of other reasons.

Yeah, Fusion takes place after Other M, so you end up fighting the real Nightmare.
