Did you see what it was like fighting him? He's chnaged a lot since (or before since this takes palce before fusion) Fusion? He rampages and doesn't just float around rushing into you.

oh dude awsome i looked at the picture like four times before actually clicking on it thinking is that from...no..is it?..no...well mabey...no and then i was all like all heck ill click and OMG IT IS Nightmare from metroid fusion probably my least favorite fight in the game just cause your still trying to figure out how to float against the lack of gravity...but awsome at the same time great stuff.

Definitely one of the more disturbing Metroid bosses. Why the hell did they have a freaking bioweapon inside the space station?! That's what I want to know. Nice drawing of Nightmare.

Excellent work, you captured the real essence of nightmare, I think. He's supposed to be creepy/scary, and just as a side fact, his real face is covered by an armor plate, that is what you see initially; also, the Nightmare was designed for military purposes.

I love MF, it is one of my favorite games.
Bulldog, yep, except near the end; then it's just...ugly.
By the way, did you know that what you see in the beginning isn't actually his face? In reality, it is his face plate; a sort of armor plate to protect his real face, and his organic brain behind it.
Also, did you know that, in his rampage through Sector 5 (Caused by the X's influence over him), he actually took a great deal of damage himself? That damage served to make him appear even more nightmarish, making him look "...rotting and decayed..." So, he may not have been so scary at first, and we may never know what he really looked like.
This is one of the very few images I have found of him where his face plate is actually on, that makes it look even better to me.
I have a suspicion that Nightmare isn't truly a deadly killing machine acting on its own will, I feel that it is completely reliant on orders, that the X were the cause of its violence...here's what I mean: You meet the thing in person (When no X are present of course), it won't attack you, but it simply watches your every move. Now that would be disturbing.
