hey guys 
the big NICKELODEON'S claim over Avatar is what first turned me off and made me think yeah they're just trying to be anime, fakers 
I've bitten my tongue. Avatar truly surprised me, not just in the animation, but the story development and characters.... In particular, Zuko and Uncle Iroh. They are easily my favorite element in Avatar. Uncle is such a humble fountain of wisdom, while Zuko is strong-willed and often blinded by pride, they balance each other perfectly.
This scene was such a beautiful depiction of humility and forgiveness it brought me to tears.
This is my first piece of fan art of Avatar, so it must be my favorite scene, or at least the one that's stuck with me the most.
medium is just a mechanical pencil (size 0.5) on sketch paper with digitally enhanced contrast. i may color this eventually, either by hand or digitally, but there's just something about raw pencil that i love.

Heck, i was bawling openly when i first saw this! Even my 18 year old brother agreed that this scene is one of the most emotional scenes in the series, and also in the history of animated shows!

Oh my, seeing this drawing was such a mix of amazement at the perfection of this piece, as well as all these feels of sadness D': I seriously felt close to tears just seeing this.. remembering the scene.. Poor Zuko ;n; Even the strong break down.

Just saw this scene again today as I ended my latest run-through of the Last Airbender. Utterly powerful, I feel like I've never appreciated the show more than I do right now!

You have captured the moment beautifully! I've just waded my way through the entire series and I am hooked. Love the story, characters...all of it! But like you, Zuko and Iroh are my fave scenes and this one here...this one had me crying like a baby!

I found this by typing "iroh zuko" in the search box. I finished the series today (watched the last 8 or so episodes), and this scene also brought me to tears. You did a BEAUTIFUL job replicating it.

Reading your artist's comments feels like reading a description of my own experiences, except mine only happened this past January. I just barely finished the series for the first time, and I too was so surprised, in all the best ways. What an incredible pulling and pushing and twisting and weaving of a story! What magnificently crafted characters!
And this scene.... This scene made my heart bleed.
I kept watching Zuko, wondering as his lowest points kept outdoing themselves. The humiliation of begging for food.... seeing his Uncle get fried by Azula.... trying to speak to his Uncle in the prison cell....
But as he knelt down in hesitation outside Iroh's tent, up to that point, that was the lowest, lowest low, rock-bottom. Aoh this healing scene. It was glorious. I love the way you have drawn it here. A powerful drawing for a powerful series. I hope this show keeps meeting new fans like you and me for years to come.

Simply increbible, the ability to capture emotion with a collection of pencil strokes is far beyond my abilities but you obviously have a natural talent for it. Thank you for doing right by this iconic Avatar scene
