hey guys 
the big NICKELODEON'S claim over Avatar is what first turned me off and made me think yeah they're just trying to be anime, fakers 
I've bitten my tongue. Avatar truly surprised me, not just in the animation, but the story development and characters.... In particular, Zuko and Uncle Iroh. They are easily my favorite element in Avatar. Uncle is such a humble fountain of wisdom, while Zuko is strong-willed and often blinded by pride, they balance each other perfectly.
This scene was such a beautiful depiction of humility and forgiveness it brought me to tears.
This is my first piece of fan art of Avatar, so it must be my favorite scene, or at least the one that's stuck with me the most.
medium is just a mechanical pencil (size 0.5) on sketch paper with digitally enhanced contrast. i may color this eventually, either by hand or digitally, but there's just something about raw pencil that i love.

Love it! I was late to the Avatar party for the same reasons, lol. But I love these characters and this scene especially - really sums up all the great things about the show - and you draw it perfectly! I especially love the tight grip that Zuko has on Iroh (ah, I hope that doesn't sound weird...?).

Very cool! I like Zuko a lot, and his path of destiny is really a touching one. This piece really makes me think hard about his choices in life. It sort of reminds me of a scene from a certain recent Family Guy episode featuring the dog, Brian Griffin.

this is a very priceless scene!!! In my sick demented mind I think that Iroh should've died at the end because he was just so determined that he was going to "reconquer" his tea shop it would've made everything so sad and he would've been with his son..... but I guess he just has to live jk jk i love Iroh (eventhough he should've died)

This is /such/ a beautiful and well envisioned piece of artwork. The intensity of their expressions is very powerfully conveyed, and even the way Zuko's hand is gripping Iroh's clothes is gorgeous. I love this very much. ^_^
