Heheh! Man, Chrono Trigger! What a good game!I can't tell you how happy it made me to have people recognize not only Chrono Trigger, but Chrono Cross, Xenogears and Suikoden too at our art table at SakuraCon! (AND Harvest Moon! There were even a couple of Harvest Moon cosplayers! What a blast that was! I'll upload photos later, when I can find the time!)
It makes me want to draw fanart for these games even more than ever! It makes me want to play them, too!
(Nothing new about that, though, haha.)Maybe I won't make as much money as I could if I were to draw lots of Miku or Tohou or Naruto, or whatever's the most popular at the moment, but I think it's worth it to draw what you love drawing, and when people do, it really shows in their works! (Like Julia and her South Park stuff. Though I think she's amazing even when her heart isn't in her art.)
So, if you guys'll have me, I'll keep drawing fanart for the stuff I love! \(>w<)/ ♥

I finally beat Chrono Trigger--on the DS, of all things. (I'd been stuck at the final boss previously.)
And Lucca's gonna be my avatar for awhile! I love Lucca, and I thought her eyes turned out quite nicely here, too. (Dunno if you can tell in this smaller version.)

Yeah, it's a very fun game! It's rather in the same vein as the older Final Fantasy games (1-6), if you've played any of them--it's a tried and true RPG, but it's got some really fun elements of humor that a lot of newer games simply don't have.
I would definitely recommend it! Great music, good characters, fun times all around. Chrono Cross is an excellent game, as well!

Frog and Crono look ready to kick ass! I think Crono's hair turned out great. My favorite one is Lucca, I think you're right about her eyes, but her whole expression is just so right! Marle looks good using a bare midriff outfit, it makes me think of princess jasmine xD... and I like how Magus' scythe frames the composition.
Eeeeh, this makes me happy!....I'm playing the DS version right now, I play it on lunch breaks at the office (Masamune cleaned the floor up with me just today, he he he...I need to level up!).
Keep drawing what you love, stick to your guns!

I was actually one of the Harvest Moon Cosplayers at said event, but I chose to cosplay a character from a game that hasn't been released to the states yet...... aye.
And I only saw the one Popuri cosplayer. Really good one, too.

In my case, it was more like a game and character I "have high hopes for."
I mean, my cosplayed character, Chihiro the "doctor-in-training" looked like an interesting variant of the "Doctor Bachelor" archetype who I usually befriend, so I felt it would be a given that I'd like him.
That, and he seems like an underdog among the bachelors that fangirls would usually go for, so that also endeared me to him. XD

I think it's really interesting and entertaining how the Harvest Moon series has really taken off and branched out into all these different spin-offs, but still, I hope, maintained the coolness and unique campy feeling of the original games. I'm really looking forward to trying out the different versions, though I think Back To Nature will always be my absolute favorite. (Though the SNES and N64 and Gameboy versions are fun, too!)

because it shows in your work how much you love it. like you can tell in this piece because its so lively (im trying to be calm and not go crazy like on your last deviations haha). and i see what you mean about gelato's southpark pieces (i love them to death)
i was thinking about drawing a Miku fanart because she's so popular...but then i was like why? i should draw FoolyCooly or southpark or my OC's since i love them the best!
anyway back to the piece, im not familiar with the game or anything but you make the characters look so interesting! and i love how it looks like you were really energetic when you were painting it :3

Well, whether you're typing them on your phone or your computer, I'd recommend that you get an English spellchecker. It should help you improve your spelling, and it'll make your messages look smoother, too! (I'm going to see if I can find a Japanese version of spellchecker, if I can!)
