Okay .. This is another portrait of Ryella .. again a new hair style. I've decided that this girl is just going to have those elaborate hair styles that everyone admires and no one wants because of the neck pain that MUST accompany them!This picture took me 4 days to finish. For a portrait, that's a LONG LONG time! I put a lot of detail into this little picture, but because I had to make it small enough to not kill people's computer screens, I cut up the details that I wanted to make sure that people could see

At any rate, I'm much happier with this then the other one overall .. though I'm not sure which hair style I like better

Wow, that's amazing! I'm especially impressed with the hair-beads which look wonderfully realistic but also painted. Kinda like Vermeer in CG. ^^ Thanks for the detail shots - I couldn't properly admire the picture without them!

Vermeer's a Dutch painter of the 1600s famous for such things as "Girl with the Pearl Earring" - he was one of the Dutch school of realism (note, not 'photorealistic' ^^ ) painting that I absolutely love. Your pearls really do remind me of his work!

Gorgeous, Rini! My favorite part is the back of her necklace, because it truly looks like one, lol. The hairstyle is, of course, beautiful. I wonder how long that would take irl to do? Probably about as long as it took you to draw it, neh? I also enjoy the spiderweb effect, because it also looks like the top of her dress flaring out about her.
