I was asked to help with someones CSS for thier journal so I thought I would just make a tutroial.Code for part 1 can be found here .

Just a quick question... what would you recommend for the dimensions of the journal header image?

i think the ones i have used myself reand between 200 - 350 pixels wide. its can be as tall as you like, though remeber the journal will be longer the taller the image is.

I'm trying to make a journal, but I still seem to be having trouble. I wanted to make this for my page exclusively, because I wanted it to be a present for my sister. Is there any advice you can give me? I'm really confused.... @_@

well first i need to know what exactly you are having trouble with. if its the programming side it doesn't surprise me that your confused lol. some of the best advice i can give you is to keep the layout simple, once you understand the language and what everything does then you can add some neat effects but keep it simple at the start. Try changing one thing at a time and use the preview of your journal to see what everything does. I know fire fox has soem sisues with scroll boxes but the rest should work fine if you are still having problems just send me a note and I will help you code it.
