Well, due to complications beyond everyone's control, tonight's podcast for the "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" roundtable got a last-minute cancellation. I was originally hesitant to publish this after hearing about the cancellation, but after talking about it with a certain pizza pone, I realized that really I did not want this thumbnail to go to waste. I did a lot of experimenting with this piece, and quite possibly the biggest challenge was drawing our Divatox (which, I will confess, I still don't think I got quite right). But overall, I am very, very, VERY satisfied with how this came out!ToonKriticY2K (c)

That just came down to timing. I was asked to come in 2 weeks before we planned on doing it, when the Ranger cast had been set and Ripple was already working on the piece. Since there was no 6th Ranger in the film (Or really, no official 6th Ranger in Turbo), I was cast as Divatox.

Better than being Elgar, I say. Plus, I will fight to my grave that Divatox is best Ranger villain because her goofiness was perfect for the kid show Power Rangers was trying to be.

Which makes her the best imo. Sure, Ransik was one of the deeper villains and could easily outclass her side-by-side; but Divatox is the best villain for a kids show. She's Vicky before FOP, and that's what makes her good.

I feel bad that you guys couldn't do it Ripple. but I hope that you guys will be able to make up for it in some way so that way you guys can do it. Plus it be nice to hear everyones thoughts on this movie when the time comes. til then, I hope that you know that this artwork that you did is beautiful and that I hope that if Toon or the others ever ask for you to do another thumbnail for them that it would get a chance to shine.

A shame this never ended up happening. Even though I’m not really into Power Rangers, I still would’ve loved to see the Roundtable, especially since the day it was meant to happen is just a week before my birthday next Sunday.
