Description Raidramon drawn in the My Little Ponies style. MLP has become something of a meme in and of itself (as is drawing quadrupeds from other series in the style), and I couldnt help adding to it. Yes, I know its a sick amalgamation. Yes, I know I should never have done it. Yes, I did it anyways. If it makes you feel better, pretend the title says 'Chibi Raidramon'.

Raidramon, Digimon (c) Toei Animation
My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic (c) Hasbro, Lauren Faust

and just for kicks n giggles, I dedicate this to my brother: ~psytitan

Not the Therapsid he is based on...

Riptor25 In reply to MugenSeiRyuu [2011-12-27 23:48:13 +0000 UTC]

lol of course not! Then it wouldn't be a pony!

MugenSeiRyuu In reply to Riptor25 [2011-12-27 23:55:00 +0000 UTC]

Technically a pony, like all other Mammals, is a Therapsid. Lighdramon would be based on one of the non-mammalian Therapsids. Other examples are Gabumon ( and subspecies ) aswell as the most of the DORU-line.

oh! Well thank you ^^. I can honestly say I did not know that. Thanks for the mini-lesson!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MugenSeiRyuu In reply to Riptor25 [2011-12-28 14:01:34 +0000 UTC]

Well, Therapsid is more common used to refer to the non-mammal Therapsids, like Lystrosaurus or Cynognathus, for example. So it is no surprise.
You are welcome!

Yes, it is similar how people generally don't mean birds when talking about dinosaurs.

Correct would be ofcourse Non-Avian Dinosaurs and Non-Mammal Therapsids.

LOL! I was actually thinking recently that I hadn't seen art from you lately, and was wondering why that was.

Do you watch MLP too?? So many of my college friends do. It's such a meme.

^^ figured I should post SOMETHING.

lol I saw so much stuff online for it that I finally sat down and watched it. Surprisingly novel show! I got my brother hooked on it haha! Never knew an entire show could be a meme.

Nemonus In reply to Riptor25 [2011-07-10 03:36:18 +0000 UTC]

Haha, you SHOULD!

I've seen a couple episodes and understand where the hype is coming from, but didn't feel an intense need to follow the whole thing myself.

Hmm, the whole thing really is a meme. That's certainly new.

Riptor25 In reply to Nemonus [2011-07-10 03:56:01 +0000 UTC]

well my bro had already asked me to do one for him, and this kinda came along with it lol.

Oh same here. I've seen quite a few episodes (in the same time block as other favorites of mine on the Hub...namely Transformers Prime) and the humor is really good. You can tell it came from the same minds as the Powerpuff Girls, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, etc.

Yup! the whole thing! Whats funny is that the meme has spawned other memes (derpy-hooves for example)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nemonus In reply to Riptor25 [2011-07-10 04:17:48 +0000 UTC]

Yess, and then they actually worked Derpy Hooves into the show, didn't they? The creators know they have a older male audience and that's hilarious. (I am, obviously, not an older male, but one of my friends is, proudly, a "bronie".)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Riptor25 In reply to Nemonus [2011-07-10 07:55:22 +0000 UTC]

lol well Derpy was in the show from early on, but had no official name. The fandom named her, and the creators loved it. Aimed at girls ages 10-14, garnered guys ages 18-34 (those stats are actual demographics listed on wikipedia). My bro is now a Bronie (lulz)

knowyourmeme.com Great site! Has plenty of memes, how they started, how they've evolved both in their being and in popularity, has statistics, and user-submitted and reviewed examples (all the examples of the "fsjal" page are absolutely lulzy)
