...and some good old fashioned Dragonball fanart. I recently bought a box set of the original Dragonball anime, and my sister and I are watching this part of the series for the first time (I've read the manga and seen the odd episode here and there before).Wow, it's so very 80's! Weird things that I've loved so far include Yamcha's dorky insert music, Lunch being surprisingly badass and that the original demon-sealing-rice-cooker had pink bunnies on it.

I love Dragonball even after the "Z" series, but the original series will always be my favorite. And Goku VS Krillin/Kuririn has always been one of my favorite fights.

Ahahaha! It's so very true to the series. I loved Dragonball, back before they reached the Z-arc. That was back before they went to ridiculous levels of overpowered-ness.

Did you go to Supanova in 2009? Well, Flu-panova, really. My sister and I got that terrible flu and we spent the next 3 weeks or so bedridden and watching Dragonball for the first time on Youtube. The 80's were amazing! 
Also, I agree with you about Lunch. Her introductory scene into DB was very epic indeed. It's a real pity that Toriyama neglected her, Pu'ar and Oolong in DBZ.

2009? I think I was only there one day that year. Yep, Dragonball's certainly got its own charm, and it sure is good medicine when you're sick! It really was a shame that so many characters lost their relevance as the series went on. Watching Kuririn in Japanese is so weird now though, I just keep on hearing Luffy!

I had some vouchers for Madman entertainment (Australian release) so I bought a boxset from them with those. I'm sure lots of places online sell them, if you can't find them in stores.

i liked how goku is so innocent, he is gorgeous.
