Description
Freedom Fall is now up on Greenlight, in the running to get our game onto Steam! Please support us by giving us a 'Yes' vote and telling your friends!EDIT: Freedom Fall's Beta is also now available on Desura!
One of the best things about working on your own game project is that it gives you the opportunity to study disciplines outside of your normal skill area. For Freedom Fall, I've been able to learn so much about animation, level building, design... even a bit of programming, when I was working on the beta. I'm very glad to be working with a dependable programmer now, though!
Full speed ahead!

This is awesome, anyway, Can I ask how many frames did you use for walking and jumping?
I stopped playing the game just because I was counting them .

It can be, but luckily I've been painting Marsh's sprites over the course of the year. It still makes me happy every time I see another of my animations in game. I'll have to post some of the updated animation at some point, there's a lot more tweening and smoothing out of the animation now. Do you paint sprites?

As the coding is in Moai, we'll be able to release on multiple platforms, including iTunes, PC, iOS, Android and if all goes well perhaps even a console release. I did create the prototype myself, but thankfully, for the final game we have a couple of much more talented programmers from Stirfire studios!

I am kind missing the transition from normal to jump, from normal to fall and from fall to land. They don't have to be long (especially not the normal to jump, as that would take out the speed), but for now the transitions are too direct I think. Considering you have such a detailed sprite with quite detailed animation, the lack of such animations make it much more noticeable.
Something you could do for the fall is to have a few different animations (like 2 or something) depending on the height of the fall. Purely a suggestion, but it could add much more depending on the type of your game

Good. Though I'm with DMMegsie on the weight matter.

Great work, the only thing I would comment on is that the character has no sense of weight when he's pulling up onto the block and landing.
He just seems like he's pulling on nothing and not taking to account the weight of his body when he's climbing. And falling, he doesn't really squash when he lands.... which would make it more believable and feel more "real."
But damn girl... good job XD.
