I know a lot of tomboy princesses actually like Princess Cecelia Adelhyde from Wild Arms and Tsarevna (Princess) Alena from Dragon Quest IV. XD

Oh yeah, there's Mint from Threads of Fate too. XD She's kind of spoiled. 
Cecilia is afraid to get close to other people who might only see as a princess though and only tries to save the world because it's forced onto her because she's a "Chosen One". You know, that whole fate stuff. XD But then she realizes how much she loves the world and her friends and she starts to do things for herself more often and starts to grow. <3
There's all these guardian lords that govern Love, Courage, and Hope, and then you learn about one of the guardians being the one of Desire in the other games (It was initially an antagonist.
