Prints available on Zazzle from $10This all started from a pose reference that I liked (from here, anatomical image warning*, [link] ). Looking at the pose, I came up with the concept and basic story to work with it. Hopefully the elements in the painting will tell it for me.
My other aim was to attempt a more old-fashioned painting style, to give the picture a feel that's unusual for science fiction paintings.
*as opposed to lack of clothing, this is lack of skin. It's a very useful website; shame it's not updating any more.

I would be very interested to know what the real story in this picture is; it would be great if you were to tell us or give a summary. I adore pictures that have a story, and this one has me really intrigued as to what actually happened. Once again, the picture and the coloring are absolutely fantastic, and I love the woman's army clothes. It has such a soft and peaceful atmosphere, and the slight smile on the woman's face indicates that she is remembering something fondly, which takes away from the sadness that one would normally feel for an image like this.
Amazing work! And I really would love to know the story behind it sometime, if you ever feel like divulging it.

fantasic, and I don't know if you know the world of Eberron in Dungeons and Dragons?, the robot reminds me of the Warforged that exist in Eberron, and since they are sentient conscious beings, I figured he was once alive, I like tis painting style a lot!

I love it. I can feel the story behind it.. kind of mysterious. I really like the style of painting you used in this one. The only part that looks a little strange to me is the hand she has placed on the rock behind her. I can't place it, but it just looks kind of "off" to me. :/

Wow, this is amazing... I love your style and the color scheme! This actually reminds me a bit of Studio Ghibli and some of Hayao Miyazaki's works, like Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa.

It's really bittersweet. But all the greens and warm tones sorta make the whole atmosphere more relax and nostalgia, which adds to the whole emotion this pic is going for.
