During the last seven years, Lucas had made himself believe that his encounter with Dorian had been nothing but a mistake. He had been seduced by the vampire prince he had held hostage, had been glamoured, had been tricked. He had not been master of his own mind and bedding the mischievous and seductive leech had not been his decision but a game played by Dorian to humiliate him and laugh into his face.

But tonight, he had seen him again, unexpectedly. Had watched him dance and flirt and touch while his wolf growled and whined at the fact that he could not get closer, could not scent and touch himself. Lucas had to get out of the club, started to run and let his wolf be free, let his confused emotions rise to the surface and howl at the moon when he became aware that he was in love with the enemy.
