A'ryen was lost in thought.
The hunt had been good, entertaining. Being with his friends had distracted him from the war he had to leave soon for. He had no choice than to lead more men into battle, into certain death and to maybe face his own end so much sooner than he had ever expected it.
Again he was eating in the castle kitchen, with the servants instead of with the family. But here, he could be Ry, and not A'ryen, Prince of Shadows. Here, he could be close to S'iv, who blushed so gorgeously when their eyes met for a moment.
Just another bite and he would get up and go over to S'iv, take him into his arms and kiss him in front of everyone else.
Just another bite and he would confess in front of everyone else that he had fallen in love with the small halfblood servant who shared his bed.
Just another bite.
Just another dream.
