Description
This is a recreation of an interesting camouflage pattern used by the Waffen-SS in World War 2. It was closely based on a public domain image of the pattern posted on Wikipedia. I had some trouble trying to replicate the specific shape of the dots, and the final result isn't perfect. Still, I think it's a reasonable likeness, and I'm so fond of the pattern, it would be a shame not to upload it, I thought. The colours used here are based on a particular version of Erbsenmuster, because the pattern had used many different colour schemes when it was in service. Trying to replicate the colours of this kind of thing is tricky, because the only remaining articles of the camouflage are old and faded. I picked a certain version of the pattern, and tried to make some educated guesses of what it would have looked like when it was new.

Hi!
What a neat repro! I've been trying to replicate it for years, but I haven't succeeded yet. Could you teach me!? I'd be very thankful! Mery Christmas!

You should do some American Frog Skin pattern. Then there is also a Leaf Pattern type from the Korean War era. The Frog Skin is used from WW2 to the Vietnam War era. The Leaf Pattern is used from the Korean War era to the Vietnam War era. Woodland came about in the late 1960s. Then there are the more modern Desert Cammo types too.
