Description
A new concept for a sonic style character. A psionic fungus.I wanted to go for some kind of creature that wasn't used often in the sonic universe, and some kind of malicious subterranean fungus came to mind.
Plus mind powers. Hot damn. Not sure what to name it yet. Suggestions?
I really like how this design came out. I tried to avoid my common colors of blue/purple, so I thought, "oh, green and yellow I don't use a lot" but the original color test made her look like a rejected green bay mascot lol.
So instead of green it's more of a greenish blue, give the kind of under dark cavern fungus, I wanted to imply poisonous so she's brighter/more saturated color and not really brown.
It's also kind of funny how a simple gradient background can make something look more 'finished'. *Shrug*

also 2 questions I must ask. first this character of yours, is she a sonic the hedgehog OC? Because she gives of a very mobian vibe.
and second what exactly is she? An alien, or a mutation?

I did create this concept with a Sonic the Hedgehog design in mind, yes! (I also just kind of like the look of those similar head/body proportions on characters)
The character is supposed to be a fungus that can spread psychic spores out their hands that I made for a possible antagonist.

thank you for the info, but Iβm still a bit confused what this character still is. I mean I know itβs supposed to be a fungus, but what kind of fungus really? Is it an alien, mutant, other? What are itβs origin exactly?

I'm very much that kind of person who draws a character design and then fills in the details later. Since nothing really came of the concept, it kind of stalled out there.
However, I'd probably say it would be more of a mutant origin.

What's her relation to Isis (if there is any)? She definitely could be a nemesis or a grudging partner-in-crime.
Or in revenge, as in my story idea for Isis.

I'd say name her Spore, but that brings to mind something entirely different. XD I quite like her eyes. They don't have the standard pupil which is awesome.

Pfft. I'd prefer something not so commically obvious. I was thinking Carie (pronounced Ka-ree-ay) It's latin for Decay/rot/corruption I think, but it doesn't sound very fungus-y
