Description 'The Choice'
(I hope I got the French correct this time... )
It's another canvas! I'm sorry about the inconsistency/blurriness. My scanner doesn't like it when I scan pictures in several parts...
I wanted to work on painting skin tones, and hands, and this is what I came up with. It's Christine reached to turn the scorpion, at the end of the Leroux novel. I didn't use any references, except for looking at my own hand.
2 hours, acrylic on canvas, 14x14 inches

Am I getting any better?

The fingers look a bit to dark...? Maybe? That really is the only recommendation... it's very well done. Lovely scorpion. Must re-read Leroux soon!

That's what I thought (about her fingers). I messed up a few times, and I ended up putting too much paint there. Oh well, I'll just learn from my mistakes.
