Description
I have gotten so many images from God since coming to the International House of Prayer. I love it. My favorite kind of art is the kind that is directly inspired by something He says to me or something I read or a song I hear! It's been great fun to try to keep up with all the pictures I have in my head. There are SO many sketches I have open on photoshop, waiting to be completed... This was the first one! This image came to me while I was listening to Corey Russell (one of my phenomenal teachers) speak. He said something along the lines of “Jesus fills our eternal hole with an eternal flow.” It was so clear in my mind that I had to draw it! Everyone is lacking something that can only be filled by the Lord.
The Holy Spirit does not fill us once and then leave us alone. It is said someone once asked D.L. Moody why he needed to be filled with the Spirit so often and Moody responded simply, “Because I leak!”
The Spirit flows out of us onto those around us—we leak His presence everywhere we go and are in constant need of more of the Spirit. The beautiful thing is that we have an eternal flow available to us—a fresh touch of God every day, every moment! God, fill us and flow from us that we might touch our generation for your glory!

Haha this is so awesome! I love it! It's got a great message, and is very well done
To continue the analogy, the puddle that forms our feet (works) should continue to get bigger and bigger, till we get everybody's feet wet, lol xD
I'm so glad I just found your art

Thank you! I like that continuation--the original piece was going to have flowers coming up from the water (sort of symbolic as the fruit of the Spirit), but I've done a piece like that before, so I left it with just the water.

The flowers are a cool idea, could I have a link to that one?

Aaah, it's a fairly old piece that I never uploaded onto dA. Sorry.

Thanks, dear! The water was super fun to draw.
It really reminds me of that piece I did Senior Year--the lady with the funny chin with all the water... Pffft. XD People with water flowing all around them seems to be a theme of mine.

Ooo, I really like this picture :3 The water and lighting and everything is really pretty.
Also, that quote makes a lot of sense. Without a more righteous goal to work towards, we end up feeling incomplete. I hear many people without faith talk about how unhappy they are. Sounds like they need a flow to fill them!

Thanks very much! The water was really fun to draw!
God is remarkably satisfying. He is the only possible way to fill that hole--nothing else fits!
