Description
The same day I arrived in New York City and my friend took me to the New York Public Library, we ran into a protest outside the New York Public Library (NYPL) at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street near Bryant Park. The protesters were a diverse group gathering in front of the library to exercise their First Amendment rights against incoming U.S. president Donald Trump and right-wing plans to close public libraries and privatize public schools. Being a teacher myself, I support a strong educational system -- including schools, libraries, and museums -- and I wanted to do something more than sign a list of supporters, but my friend and I had to run all over the city that day and we couldn't stay too long to watch.Related content

Damn right protest against Trump on that decision.
I'm a Democrat and I say the hell on Trump's right-wing plans and policies.

I guess Trump's not too interested in anything longer than 140 characters - unless it's yet another biography of his.
It's going to be a looooong four years, especially if the rest of it is as bad as the past three weeks have turned out to be. :/
