heres another monster concept for my HAlloween piece, that didn't quite make it to the finally. though i love "Where the Wild Things Are", i didn't want my drawing to remind them of that book or that possibly that i was influenced by it.Related content

Great design! I do see the "Where the Wild Things Are" influence, but I think its also unique enough to stand on its own.

It doesn't remind me of "Where the Wild Things Are". Rather it reminds me of Monsters Inc. and Lilo and Stitch.

It looks more like those reject goblins from 'Little Nemo', you know what I'm talking about, the ones that still managed, if not to be terrifying, at least somewhat unsettling to stare at. Especially when they melded.
Those guys were like that movies equivalent of the fire gang from 'Labyrinth'.

I can see the wild thing in there but not until you mentioned it. But I can understand why you would want it as far away from anything out there. I think you succeeded.
