Made from scratch in photoshop.
Edit: Should I change "it" to "them"? Your Posters- Your doing them wrong. Or leave it the way it is?
Edit 2: I'll leave it as is then.
Edit 3: This damn poster gets more faves than my own actual art.

I once had this poster which featured the 2010 Nightmare On Elm Street teaser poster... but I was worried that it may have counted as art theft, and so checked it with to make sure. Not surprisingly, it DID count as art theft (which, mind you, was never my motive) and so I took it down afterwards, even though it had become my most popular image and had been up for about a year and a half.
Art theft is NEVER worth it.

What if we use it for decorating our rooms, is that still bad?

Epic! <3
Though I have found a few funny ones. Usually about people photographing their pets doing random things.
X3 Before you came along (well, since I kinda met you by joining your group) I didn't really know screenshots were against the rules.
They just got on my nerves.
>w> I've actually reported some... -grin-

Thanks.
I don't see anything wrong, if people use they're own photos. That would be more awesome.

The one I found was a dog trying to make babies with a duck that said 'Yer doin' it wrong" or something like that. Loved it.
Screen shots just get in the way of actual art. Search cloggers are what they are.
XD I'll look on google if I want screen shots.

Yeah, there are a lot of screenshots on here. Some even puts them in the Photography section.

Yeah.
Some of the edits can be funny, but art it does not make.
What bugs me more than screen shots are when people post the sketch art and stuff from games and such.
I see a ton of those in the Jak and Daxter search.

I would leave as is since "You're doing it wrong," seems to have achieved somewhat of a meme status.

Right, time to go through my gallery and delete a few things, then. Granted, they got me pageviews, but if it's illegal, then f*ck it. I don't want to go to prison and be anally raped.

I was thinking about making one of these mock posters. Why are art thieves so stupid?

I'm not sure.
But I have a theory, They have such tiny brains, they do not know how to pick up a pencil and draw on their own, thus they have to left click and save as, the many kawaii pictures they find from google or screenshots from their favorite animu. To get the attention they do not get in their lives, they either do some edit to those, or make those posters, that aren't really funny and very overdone. It's only my theory though.
I'm kind of half joking. I apologize for the usage of the word, kawaii.

That sounds good to me. X D D
Of course all they can do is copy and paste, so I fear that if they drew something...it'd be traced~

I couldn't agree more.
There are only a very small handful that I've seen that I find funny. Most of them are incredibly stupid and unimaginative. I'm sick of seeing them on the front page when I log in.
though, I will admit, I have made one, but it was with my own photo and it's more of an inside joke between me and a friend of mine.

This.
I just wrote a small text wall to a certain deviant about copyright infringement with motivational posters, and then this pops up in my message center!
However, to stay a little bit more on topic; it's a shame, really, that motivational posters aren't very motivating on this site. We have a few up in our schools' library which say about team work and such, those seem a lot more motivational than posters with anime screen shots in them.
It would be great to see people actually using their own images in their posters, though. I don't think I've seen one on here yet, since watching some of my friends play about on here for a year or so. ;c

Wow, my first "This"
I agree with you. the ones I saw aren't really funny or anything. Just meh, and overdone to heck seeing them all the time.
And it would be great if more would use their own art instead. I'm sure they're a few that actually do, but it is rare.

So if you use your own art it's fine? Never got that

rmr34 In reply to NanoPoi [2011-02-05 21:28:13 +0000 UTC]
Then you can actually call it your own art if you make the picture yourself. And you're not committing copyright infringement. You won't get sued, and all that jazz if the owner finds out your using their image without their permission.

I don't find Demote-posters funny anyway. They never are. Wonder why someone would risk a copyright court battle for a lame gag that falls flat on its face.

Don't know. I don't really find them funny or anything. Most contain stolen images, or something anyway, so you see one with the same picture, over and over again. It's been cooked to death and overdone.
