Da Vinci didnt put a red X through the Mona Lisa...you should let others appreciate your work by using it...we're all artists on here, so we know and respect all original authors, and expect it in return..credit goes where credit is due.

back then, coping took a bit more than right-clicking 'save picture as' in your browser.
if authors were so respectful towards other ppl work there wouldn't be any need for the X.

It would be really great, but with the red cross absolutely unusable. You shouldn't post here such pictures. Sorry, but everybody here has to deal with this problem, but that's is not the right way. Take it off and don't show the people what they can't have (I mean in a personal way - as a wallpaper on their own machine.)

I recon your not to fond of the idea that an author can execute his right to magage his own works.

preferably I would delete the image from devart but since there already are some copies in circulation i'd like to leave the x-ed version for reference (i.e. upload date)

If you released it before in wallpapers which assumes we can all use it for personal usage, then does that mean that the new image eg. the one with the red x means we cant use that as a wallpaper since it says non commercial? But then does that mean we still have the right to use the previous version as a wallpaper?
